Nicole G. Rodríguez-Velázquez

Nicole G. Rodríguez Velázquez joined Ferraiuoli in October 2019 as an Associate Attorney for the Labor and Employment Department. Nicole’s practice includes labor litigation in judicial and administrative forums, as well as compliance and preventive consulting on matters related to human resources and labor and employment law. Nicole also assists clients with matters such as creation, implementation and revision of company policies, protocols and manuals, and matters before administrative agencies, such as obtaining an insurance policy for occupational accidents from the State Insurance Fund Corporation and registration with the Department of Labor. Among the issues Nicole addresses are wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation, sexual harassment, workplace harassment, hours and wages, leave and reasonable accommodations, downsizing, federal hiring, among others.

Nicole obtained a Juris Doctor degree from the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico School of Law, from which she graduated Summa Cum Laude. While in Law School, Nicole was a writer for the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico Law Review, where she published an article on medical cannabis in the workplace (53 Rev. Jur. UIPR 467 (2019)). In addition, Nicole was a teaching assistant to professors Gerardo Bosques Hernández and Carlos Concepción Castro, was a summer associate at another law firm and worked as a civil litigation law clerk.

Finding practical and efficient solutions to our clients’ complex legal matters is what I find most rewarding. I strive to understand my clients’ business needs and issues in order to identify potential risks and provide them with proactive legal advice that will further their objectives.
